CLEVELAND, Ohio Expect the heavy haze over Greater Cleveland caused by smoke from eastern Canada wildfires to continue into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Air quality should continue to improve Saturday afternoon and evening. Thursday evening was the first time northern Ohio was under a tornado warning since September 4 of last year! Yesterday’s tornado warnings were the first this year. There were three EF-2 tornadoes, three EF-1 tornadoes and two EF-0 tornadoes. A more significant return to higher humidity by the middle of next week.Ībove average temps return as well! Just in time for the Summer Solstice on Wednesday.Ĩ tornadoes have been confirmed across Ohio. Humidity briefly rises Thursday then drops this weekend. Today’s futurecast: Spotty showers early Wednesday, much drier. Southern storm track should keep the next series of systems just to the south of Ohio. Cloudy and cool with showers on and off in the afternoon becoming heavier in the mid/late evening, overnight. Should be perfect for a cook-out or a day by the pool or a motorcycle ride for dad. The highest temperature will be an agreeable 69.8F (21C). Temperatures are around 80 and sunny for your Father’s Day. On Saturday, in Cleveland, bright and sunny weather is anticipated. There could be some areas of patchy fog first thing Sunday morning. Overnight, skies remain clear with temperatures dropping into the lower 50s in the cities and upper 40s in the outlying areas. UV index is very high and poor air quality is still with us thanks to wildfire smoke from Canada. Temperatures will be much cooler, in the lower 30s and breezy, thus wind chills will be in the 20s. Lots of sunshine this weekend with no weather worries for Dad! Very comfortable this evening, with clear skies and temperatures in the 70s early and falling into the 60s once the sun goes down.
